This week I’ve been enjoying my adventures with food. I love food and I’m reminded that this is a great platform from which to explore healthy weight and lifestyle options.
I cook simply, and I’m great with leftover bits. And how great is google! Last night I found an easy hollandaise sauce (egg yolk, mustard, lemon juice, Tabasco sauce & butter) to go with the leftover smoked salmon that was in the fridge. My favourite breakfast cafe might now be getting a run for my money with Eggs Benedict being so easy to do at home!
I’m reading and this week I’ve been inspired by the amazing Rule of 15 which says, “aim to eat 15 different Plant Foods every day – different varieties, different colours, small portions of vegetables, fruits, nuts, grains & seeds.” (Thanks to Dr John Tickell’s book “The Great Australian Diet: The Atkins Alternative”). It’s challenged me to add a couple more fruits and vegetables to my meals and to my day.
Healthy weight should be easy and healthy. And it should be fun! My aim is always to keep it simple (and fun!).
